Bridgestone, traditionally a tire manufacturer, sought to transform into a digital solutions provider by monetizing extensive data from an existing fleet management product. The initial decision to integrate these processes and management systems was driven by a need to increase operational efficiency and gain a competitive advantage. Up until this point, Bridgestone had not had the capability to sell data as a product and generate revenue

Implementation

Revenium facilitated the transformation of Bridgestone’s Fleet Management Solution into an e-commerce engine within their global API developer garage, enabling direct monetization of data. 

Prior to a large-scale rollout, they focused on a proof of concept (POC) strategy to demonstrate the solution’s viability. The implementation process involved assessing Bridgestone's current API infrastructure and the need to integrate Revenium’s capabilities with Bridgestone’s existing MuleSoft-based API platform.

This allowed Bridgestone to charge for premium data access and manage usage, pricing, subscriptions, and invoicing efficiently. The Revenium solution enabled Bridgestone to present APIs as products in a digital storefront, facilitate self-service data access for customers, and implement direct monetization through subscriptions and usage-based pricing.
